The NHL is run by a small committee of unpaid volunteers and helpers who have day jobs, families and occasionally holidays, which take priority. These responsibilities mean that we may occasionally take up to two to three weeks to respond, although we would normally expect to be much quicker. If you feel you want to help in any way, please contact us.

Members of the NHL live in more than twenty countries and a lively exchange of information exists through our magazine, Harmonica World, which members receive 6 times a year in even numbered months.

Joining the NHL is easy. The membership subscription depends on where you live. The details are listed below.

How to join the NHL

The annual subscription is due in January each year. If you join the NHL mid year, you can make a part year membership payment for the rest of that year. Subsequent renewals will be due annually, each January. Select the appropriate payment from the table below. If you are not sure contact the Membership Secretary - see below. You can make a payment using a postal order, cheque on a UK bank only or via this web site using PayPal or a credit/debit card.

There are three rates for the membership which link to the postage charge regions. 1 - UK and Northern Ireland, 2- Europe including Eire, and 3 - the Rest of the World.

• To join the NHL using a postal order, or a cheque on a UK bank, click here and print the application form. If this does not work, you need install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer. If you can't do this, click here and print out the web page. Complete the form and mail it to one of the addresses below. We can't accept cheques on non-UK banks. If you can only pay by cheque in the USA please check with Pat Missin at the address below before doing it.

• To join the NHL using the PayPal Buy Now button,

  • Click on the appropriate PayPal Buy Now button in the right-hand column of the table below and follow the instructions to make your payment, and then
  • Send your contact details to us by filling in and the submitting the application form on this application form. We need this information to add you to the membership database.
  
  

• To join the NHL using a credit/debit card, PayPal also gives you the option to pay with a credit or debit card. This is a great way to pay from countries outside of the UK as it avoids currency exchange complications. Just click on the appropriate PayPal Buy Now button and follow the instructions to make your payments.

  • Send your contact details to us by filling in and the submitting the application form on this application form. We need this information to add you to the membership database.

You will receive a receipt from PayPal showing we have received your payment, and an automatic response from us to show we have received you membership application form.

How to renew your annual NHL Membership

• To renew using a cheque on a UK bank, send the cheque made out to the appropriate value to the membership secretary at one of the addresses below, with a covering letter. If you can only pay by cheque in the USA please check with Pat Missin at the address below before doing it.

• To renew using the PayPal Buy Now button, please include your name, contact details, and membership number (if known) when filling in the PayPal form so we can identify your payment. You can use this this application form if you are not sure how to do this on the PayPal form.

• To renew using a credit/debit card, PayPal also gives you the option to pay with a credit or debit card. This is a great way to pay from countries outside of the UK as it avoids currency exchange complications. Just click on the appropriate PayPal Buy Now button and follow the instructions.

• To renew by Standing Order, residents of the UK can renew their membership for £18 by arranging to pay by a standing order from their bank. Contact the Membership Secretary, david Hambley - see address below - for details on how to do this.
