The NHL is offering a course in chromatic tuition. The course will be held on Saturday June 9th from 10am to about 4.30pm, and Sunday 10th June 10am to about 4pm. With an evening concert for participants on the Saturday evening, from 7-10pm. We have the whole of The Music department of Solihull School in Warwick Road, Birmingham, B91 3DJ. Julian Jackson, Carol & Lee Axford, Colin Mort, Barbara Tate, Gerry Ezard and Chris Collis will be providing the tuition. The course will be based on our first experience last year, so that players will have music sent out for pre-study, for solos and small group playing. There will be more individual playing, and an evening concert at the school, course members only, on Saturday evening. Players of all abilities will be able to gain a huge amount of musical knowledge from the finest professional players and musicians in the business. The beginners course will be based on the Tommy Reilly Harmonica Course which will improve your playing tremendously. The book includes two CDs, and course members are advised to purchase this book. See the NHL website for details.
The cost of the course is £50 for NHL members, £55 for non-members for the two days, excluding accommodation and meals.
